November 20th, 2010Sharon Gilbert opened TALISMAN GLASS, Chicago’s premiere private glass studio almost 20 years ago. Her modern style is recognizable anywhere, despite each project being completely unique, and she is well known for her exceptional designs in restaurant lighting. The architectural glasswork she specializes in combines all the hot and warm glass techniques, focusing on achieving all the possibilities of molten glass to exploit imagery and texture to create a special feeling in an architectural space. Her public works can be seen across the US, both in interior and exterior locations. She shares her passion for the art of glass and offers weekend classes in glassblowing in Chicago.
