Description: VISIONARIES simultaneously acts as a comprehensive primer about the birth of the American avant-garde cinema and a loving portrait of its tireless ringmaster, Jonas Mekas. Jonas Mekas, director Chuck Workman, and critic Fred Camper will be present for audience discussion at the Friday screening. A repeat screening will be held Thursday, July 1 at 6 pm. Tickets to movies are $10 general admission, $7 students, $4 for students and faculty of the School of the Art Institute, $5 Film Center members.
