Description: Stanislava Varshavski and Diana Shapiro will be offering a free master class as part of the Duo Piano Festival at the Music Institute of Chicago. Stanislava Varshavski, born in Ukraine, and Diana Shapiro, born in Moscow, met while studying at the Jerusalem Rubin Academy in Israel, establishing the Varshavski-Shapiro Piano Duo in 1998. Within a few years, the duo had won first prizes at a series of international competitions and performed on three continents.
