Description: Read excerpts from poems and essays and think about what it means to be held by ordinary and extraordinary chairs. Led by poet Matthias Regan, workshop participants will examine feeling—the dimension of experience where sensation meets emotion—in relation to objects that are often overlooked due to their fundamental utility. Readings include works by Gertrude Stein, Martin Heidegger, Lorine Niedecker, and John Dewey.
