Description: Internationally renowned violinist Rachel Barton Pine will headline a free concert at the Jay Pritzker Pavilion in Millennium Park on Sunday, July 11, at 7 p.m. during the Great Performers of Illinois festival, an annual celebration of the arts unique to Illinois. Prior to the concert, Pine will receive the 2010 Great Performer of Illinois award for her outstanding contributions to classical and rock music and to the cultural life of Illinois. Pine follows Dennis DeYoung, former singer and songwriter of Styx, and blues great Buddy Guy as the third recipient of the award.
