Description: Columbia College Chicago’s Albert P. Weisman Award Exhibition will be having a reception to showcase the 2010 award winners. There will be a mix of both undergraduate and graduate work from various departments at Columbia College Chicago.
As a part of the exhibition, Deirdre E. Lee will be screening the first 5 minutes of Pass Through the Fire, her MFA Thesis Film. Pass Through the Fire is a 10-minute biographical documentary about artist Jay Strommen and his wood-fire ceramic process. Through an experimental approach, Pass Through the Fire explores themes relating to the elements and human destiny.
