Description: The Chicago Duo Piano Festival kicks off with Celebrating Schumann, a gala opening concert featuring festival founders and MIC’s resident piano duo Claire Aebersold and Ralph Neiweem. In addition to works by Schumann, the duo will perform the world premiere of “Novel Dances,” a two-piano piece by Patrick Byers. Tickets are $20 adults, $15 seniors, $7 students and are available online at musicinst.org or by calling 847.905.1500, ext. 108.
