Axiom Brass, Bronze Medal winners at the prestigious 2010 Fischoff National Chamber Music competition and Brass Quintet-in-Residence at the Music Institute of Chicago, performs in recital February 19 at Nichols Concert Hall, 1490 Chicago Avenue, Evanston.

On the program are Argentine tango composer Astor Piazzolla’s Fuga y Misterio—incidental music for his 1968 “operita” Maria de Buenos Aires—and the Brass Quintet No. 1 in B-flat Minor (c. 1890) by Russian composer Victor Ewald.
