Title: Americatown at the Chicago Underground Film Festival
Location: The Gene Siskel Film Center, 164 N. State Street
Description: Shot over a 9,000-mile road trip, filmmaker Kenneth Price and his stars (comedy duo the Superkids) explored the mythology and culture of the United States in all its glory to create the microcosm of Americatown.
Director Kenneth Price will be present after the Saturday screening for discussion. Also showing at this screening will be Tennessee Waltz by Clayton Brown. A repeat screening of Americatown will be held Wednesday, June 30 at 6 pm. Tickets to movies are $10 general admission, $7 students, $4 for students and faculty of the School of the Art Institute, $5 Film Center members.
