She’s back! Elysabeth Alfano, host and creator of the WTTW program “Fear No Art”, returns to the small screen to deliver this 3rd installment of Chicago’s only television show dedicated to art and culture.

In this episode,  Elysabeth Alfano goes behind the scenes of the Piven Theatre Workshop with veteran actresses Joan Cusack ( in a rare interview) and Joyce Piven, discover the passion of Chicago’s most prestigious experimental puppeteer Blair Thomas,  and talk shop with artist Tony Fitzpatrick.

In a touching, funny and emotional interview, Joan discusses the importance and influence of Joyce Piven on her life and career. Blair shows us the intimate world of puppets and Tony takes us through the early inspirations for his work and his current obsessions.

Fear No Art Chicago takes the viewer behind the scenes, where the public is never allowed, to discover what is involved, mistakes and all, in making of sculpture, painting, fashion, music, theater, and food of all types in the back studios, kitchens and stages of Chicago’s artists. This off-the cuff, high energy, witty arts show is both fresh and exciting, bringing a new take on the Chicago arts scene to WTTW.
